Focus Mechanism

The patent prints infinity spacings at wide, middle and tele only. It focuses by moving G1 alone toward the object (claim 3) but prints no near-focus spacings, so focusing is not modeled. The intermediate zoom positions are an inferred reconstruction, not the factory cam: the G1–G2 spacing follows a piecewise-linear law between the printed stations and the G2–G3 spacing is solved for infinity focus at each position. The marketed minimum focus distance is 0.25 m.
