SIGMA: Ohsone's Anecdotes

Ohsone's Anecdotes

Ohsone's Anecdotes is SIGMA's closest counterpart to Nikon's long-running series: numbered product tales written from an engineer's perspective. It mixes individual-lens development stories with multi-generation histories of 28mm primes and ultra-telephoto lenses.

SIGMA's current English pages identify the episode number but do not display a publication date. The list therefore follows the official publication sequence, newest episode first.

GROUND BREAKING

SIGMA's eight-part GROUND BREAKING collection covers the products, materials, and manufacturing decisions that shaped the company. It ranges from the YS interchangeable mount and ultra-wide zoom development to SLD glass, the dp0 Quattro, and the APS-C 30mm F1.4.

RETICENCE

RETICENCE is SEIN's eight-part account of how lenses are actually built at SIGMA's Aizu factory. Each article takes one production process and explains what it contributes to a finished lens, from grinding and polishing glass to the metal patterns, presses, and molding that produce barrel components, and the surface treatments and paints that control internal reflection.

It is the only collection in this index devoted to lens manufacture rather than lens design, which is why it is listed separately from the two narrative series above. No single lens is its subject, so there is no catalog column.
